The AZ Jan Palfijn in Ghent has gone live with iTransport. Despite the Covid-19 crisis, the team had confidence in a mostly online implementation. Fantastic, because despite the challenges, this has led to the successful deployment of iTransport. Especially in these hectic times iTransport relieves the team. The hospital uses iTransport to efficiently schedule tasks relating to patient transport and logistics. AZ Jan Palfijn chose to implement iTransport broadly. For example, tasks are created via Primuz, the electronic patient file (EPD). Real-time synchronisation with the patient file takes place by means of an HL7 link, and patients’ wristbands are also scanned for verification. The patient transport team is handed out the tasks. With the introduction of iTransport, the hospital has automated and simplified many transport tasks. We wish the team success!

AZ Jan Palfijn is a general hospital with 525 beds in Ghent. Together with the UZ Gent, AZ Sint-Lucas Gent and AZ Oudenaarde, AZ Jan Palfijn Gent is part of the Ghent Hospital Network.
